Leadership experience in my golf team

 A leader I reflect as a role model, who people look up to and admire for their directing and organizing way and individuality.  In addition also having the values of being ambitious, responsible, patient, fair, motivating, having a plan for the achieving goal, being positive and cooperating well. Leonie is one of my teammates in the golf team I attend. She is one of the oldest in our team and fulfills the aspects I just mentioned of being a leader. So that is why she got appointed as our captain. She makes a very good leader, because of her vision of achieving goals with our entire team, which are realistic and doable.

A few months ago we had an important tournament, where only four of our five team members could participate in. So four of us got the acceptance to play and our fifth teammate as our substitute. We had are practice round on the day before our tournament and one of the playing girls was not in good shape health wise and mentally.  Our leader Leonie realized that quite fast and told her that there was actually no chance for her playing the following day. The decision was made and our substitute was in. The next morning my friend was health wise in much better shape and assumed to fill her spot in the tournament again. Although she was in very good form, the decision was made for our substitute filling in for her. Both she and our substitute wanted to play and got in a big conflict, which our leader had to solve. Leonie had to make the choice of letting our substitute or first set player take part on that day. However she said that the decision of putting our substitute in was clearly made and that is how it was going to be. Although it was sad not seeing my friend being able to play, I find that Leonie dealt with the situation correct.
